A MAGNIFICENT JEWEL - A RARE BROOCH WITH A MARIA THERESA THALER MOTIF SET WITH A MAGNIFICENT AMBER PENDANT - VERY UNUSUAL OF GREAT QUALITY DATING TO C1900!
This
is a rare jewel.  The brooch has a Maria Theresa Thaler coin motif in the center - I don't know if this is a real coin or not as it appears to be brass or copper.  It is surmounted by a wonderful scallop design also in brass or copper.  Hanging from the pendant is a stunning large amber pendant!!!  The piece was purchased in Finland.  It may be baltic or Russian.  It dates to c1900.
The condition is very fine.  It can be easily converted to a pendant if desired. The brooch is 10.5 by 6.5 cm.  The amber is 28 mm long.  There are no marks on the piece.
